Dale Thomas Dupuis

Memorial services for Dr. Dale Thomas Dupuis, D.D.S., 56, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, Louisiana with Father Louis Melancon officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Dr. Dupuis was born June 7, 1953 in Opelousas, Louisiana to Lorraine (Hohbach) and Beauregard (B.D.) Dupuis, and passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at his residence.
Dr. Dupuis graduated from Opelousas High School, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and with honors from LSU Dental School. He and his family lived in Opelousas for several years and then moved to Lufkin where he had practiced dentistry in Huntington since 1992. Dr. Dupuis enjoyed wildlife, nature and exercising, always involving his family in his many scientific and engineering ""projects"" as much as possible. He was an excellent mentor to his children, nieces and nephews, who adored him. Time spent with him was prized and special. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn (Oncale) Dupuis; son, Matthew Dupuis; daughter, Betsy Dupuis; mother, Lorraine (Hohbach) Dupuis; siblings, Dr. Michael Dupuis, wife Martha and children Beau and Steve, Pamela Dupuis Saupe, husband William and children Tyler and Zack, Juliette Dupuis Shales, husband Richard and children Henry and Eva, and Elise Dupuis Fontenot, husband Lessley and children Lauren, Dennis and Lessley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Beauregard (B.D.) Dupuis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ellen Trout Zoo, 402 Zoo Circle, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the memorial service.
