Thomas Evan Hiser

Thomas Evan Hiser, Jr. has had a long journey since his accident in 1995 but it has come to an end he has gone home to be with the Lord. Born September 11, 1944 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, he died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in a local nursing home.
Mr. Hiser was always involved with the youth until the time of his accident. His favorite was attending the stock shows with the kids. Mr. Hiser was a Boy Scout leader, 4-H leader, Church youth leader, and supported the FFA and Band when his children were younger.
It's only fitting that his graveside services will be held by his great-nephew, Dillion English and Reverend Chris Turner, which will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gann Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary Hiser of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Brigada Hiser of Colorado City; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Chris Lynn of Recklaw; granddaughters, Kyla and Callie Lynn; grandsons, Kolby Lynn and unborn baby Hiser; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Sawey of Fort Worth, Elaine and Norm Abbott of Burleson and Claire and Dennis McConn of Bluff Dale; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dianne and Cleon Stubblefield of Kennard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Pam Junge of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Theresa (Lamoureux) Hiser; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Prentis and Jean (Terry) Junge; brother-in-law, Bill Sawey; nephew, Rick Cox; and great-nephew, Talon Cole.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
