Funeral services for Gary M. Luce, 56, of Diboll will be held Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Luce was born October 4, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas to Mary (Allen) and Bill Luce, and died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and owned and operated Gary's Custom Repair Shop for 25 years. Mr. Luce enjoyed drag racing and loved his granddaughter. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Luce of Diboll; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Wade Modisette of Lufkin; granddaughter, Rachel Modisette of Lufkin; mother, Mary Luce of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randal and Diane Luce and Darrell and Cristy Luce, all of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ronnie Risenhoover of Lufkin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Stacey Holcomb of Diboll and Luke and Kim Holcomb of Duncanville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Luce; and son, Jarod Matthew Luce.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Bates, William Gates, Phillip Burnette, Paul Clifton, Melvin Linton, Gordon Cole, Jessie Ashby and Waymon Dominy.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
