Sheri Brandenburg

Funeral services for Sheri Brandenburg, 52, of Huntington will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Lamar Denby and Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Sheri Brandenburg was born August 6, 1958 in Tacoma, Washington to Betty (Grissett) and Robert Glenn Truett, and went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 19, 2011 in a local hospital after her long, courageous battle with breast cancer. Sheri brought joy to those around her, remained true to her faith and never lost her sense of humor. She loved life, her family and friends. She had resided in Huntington most of her life and had been an Orthodontic Assistant for Drs. Charles Kent and John Studer for more than 30 years. Sheri was a member of the Highway Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Jay Brandenburg of Huntington; daughters and son-in-law, Morgan and Wade Fitzgerald of Lufkin and Mallory Brandenburg of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, John and Amber Brandenburg of Huntington; grandchildren, Brendan and Reece Fitzgerald, both of Lufkin and Kayson Brandenburg of Huntington; mother, Betty Truett of Huntington; brothers and sister-in-law, Steve and Lisa Truett of Prosper and Robert Truett of Huntington; nephew and nieces, Landry, Callie and Cambry Truett, all of Prosper; special friends, Theresa McKewen, JimAnn Hankla and Carol Brevell; and many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Glenn Truett.

Pallbearers will be Keith Smith, Jack Tinsley, Scott Morehead, Tim Johnson, Dewayne Phillips and Mike Brevell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Kent, Dr. John Studer, Shane Kolb, Ricky Mills and Roy Carroway, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home in Lufkin.
