Lou Ann Greer Berry

Funeral services for Lou Ann Greer Berry, 71, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Lufkin with Brother Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Mrs. Berry was born August 19, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Mildred (Williams) and C.O. Greer. She died Monday, April 26, 2010 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Berry fought a long and courageous battle with her many illnesses. Despite her disabilities, she was always worried about others, and her family and friends were her main concern. Mrs. Berry had worked as an office clerk for Perco for more than 27 years. A lifelong resident of Lufkin, she was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Berry was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lufkin Chapter No. 382, and was the Chapter organist for several years, and also played for the Burke Chapter. She loved playing her piano and doing ""I Walk Alone"".
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John E. Berry of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Linda Berry and Tom and Jill Berry, all of Lufkin; sister-in-law, Clara Jean Wagnon of Choctaw, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gayland Wallace, Troy Johnson, Charles Alexander, Kelsie Roach, Tom D. Berry and Johnny Davidson.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
