Frances H. Pullen

Funeral services for Frances H. Pullen, 88, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Lufkin with Rev. Pinckney V. Love, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery at Corrigan.

Mrs. Pullen was born January 29, 1923 in Reader, Arkansas to the late Myrtle (Miller) and William B. Hawkins. She died Saturday, March 12, 2011 at her residence in Lufkin.

Mrs. Pullen was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was very active in her church, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where she had served as assistant secretary of the church. She was also an avid tennis player. Mrs. Pullen had lived in Lufkin for the past 45 years.

Survivors include her husband, J.H. ""Buddy"" Pullen of Lufkin; children and their spouses, James Gary and Kannika Pullen of Florida, Catherine A. Pullen and Roger Schafer of Pennsylvania, and Gregory J. and Michelle Pullen of Lufkin; grandsons, James E. Pullen, Christopher W. Pullen, both of Florida, Travis James Pullen of Lufkin, and Brian Allen Pullen of Etoile; granddaughters, April Tolly and Amber Hidrago, both of Lufkin; great grandchildren, Keaton Pullen, Kynzlee Pullen, and Micah Hector, all of Lufkin; sister, Faye Harkreader of Victoria; special friend, Gloria Havard of Lufkin; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1505 South John Redditt Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75904; or to Heart to Heart Hospice, 1320 South John Redditt Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
