Funeral services for Naomia Dykes, 74, of Saron will be held Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Saron Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Linwood Dykes and Brother Willie Wooten officiating. Interment will follow in the Dunk Havard Cemetery.

Mrs. Dykes was born August 5, 1936 in the Saron Community, Angelina County, Texas to the late Matty Bell (Cryer) and James Willie Grimes, and died Thursday, October 14, 2010 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Saron.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gay Ann and Michael Duhon and Carolyn Sue and Mark Lewis, all of Saron; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Susan Dykes of Garrison; grandchildren, Wesley and Cyreena DuBose, Hopper and Autumn Dykes, Ashley Dykes, Courtney Dykes, Aundra and Scooter Hanks; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Hamilton, Mary Sanchez and Rose Ellis, all of Huntington; brothers, Marcus Grimes of Beaumont, Johnny Grimes of Orange and Tommy Grimes of Saron; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dykes was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Dykes; and sisters, Irene Grimes and Viola Noe.

Pallbearers will be Jason Gunn, Tommy Grimes, Wesley DuBose, Mark Lewis, Michael Duhon and Hopper Dykes.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
