Kimberly Rene' Pike Hicks

Funeral services for Kimberly Rene' Pike Hicks, 53, of Florence, Alabama, will be held Sunday, January 2, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Doc Shell and Steven Pike officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Ms. Hicks was born October 9, 1957, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Lilly Oneida (Carrico) and Wallace Guy Pike. She died Thursday, December 30, 2010 in Lufkin.

Ms. Hicks had lived in Florence, Alabama for the past 10 years, and was a former resident of Red Bay, Alabama. She was a realtor for the Hensley Thompson Properties. Ms. Hicks was very active in her church, Christ Chapel in Florence, Alabama. She loved being around people, serving others, singing, spending time with her family, and most of all, serving the Lord.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Megan Hicks of Calera, Oklahoma; her daughter, Cristy Hicks Miller of Golden, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Jake Miller, Alex Jackson, Kaitlyn Hicks, Jackson Hicks, Lydia Miller and Lyndsey Miller; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. and Edna Pike, Ronnie and Margaret Pike, all of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sundi and Kenneth Collins, Sheila and Randy Garner, all of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Hicks was also preceded in death by a sister, Doretta Jane Pike.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Bogus, Jake Miller, Mike Darling, Jerry Hemphill, Terry Cutler and Tren Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Bogus, Jackson Hicks, Kenneth Collins, Randy Garner and Jackie Hicks.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shoals, 115 Fairground Road, Florence, Alabama 35630-1283; to Hospice in the Pines, 116 South Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75904; or to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 10105 East 79th St., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
