Gloria Louise Bounds

Funeral services for Gloria Louise Bounds, 80, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Rev. Michael Monterastelli officiating and Bro. Bill Bailey and Kenneth Grisham speaking. Interment will follow in the Ryan Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Bounds was born August 29, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Esther Sylvia (Christensen) and Alfred Kjell Anderson. She died Friday, April 22, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Bounds was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and had resided in Lufkin most of her life.
Mrs. Bounds is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve R. and Janet Bounds; grandson, Steve Bounds, Jr.; granddaughter, LaCrisha Harrison; step-grandchildren, Jesika Howard and Dallis Johnson; great grandchildren, Christopher and Crisha; step-great grandson, Ceason Smith; sisters, Mildred Weeks and Sonja Morgan; brother, David Anderson; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Bounds; her parents; brother, Alfred K. Anderson, Jr.; sister, Judith Ellen Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Dewey Kilough; sister-in-law, Corine Bounds; sister-in-law and husband, Sylvia and Clyde Grisham; and brother-in-law, Harold B. Weeks.
Pallbearers will be David Anderson, Jr., Kenneth Grisham, Wayne Bounds, James Bounds, Jerry Bounds and Carlton Bounds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Bounds, Jr., and Morris Gene Weeks.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church, 1001 Atkinson Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
