Funeral services for Lonnie ""Pappy"" Jordan, 85, of Wells will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Donald Herring officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Jordan was born May 3, 1925 in Winnfield, Louisiana to the late Mary Martha (Moore) and Eli Jordan, and died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his residence. A former resident of Diboll, he had resided in Wells for five years. Mr. Jordan served in the U.S. Army and retired from Borden Chemical. He was a member of the Also Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Charles Smith of Diboll, Belle Grambow of Pasadena and Barbara and Harold Allbritton of Metairie, Louisiana; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Gaile Jordan of Huntsville, Alabama, Jerry and Kathy Jordan of Hudson and Larry and Karen Jordan of Lufkin; grandchildren, Chuck Smith, Jason Smith, Bridget Wallace, Barbara Gray, Butch Grambow, Beverly Gutierrez, Mark Allbritton, Kevin Jordan, Ronda Jordan, Jeremy Jordan, Jonathan Jordan, Jeb Stringer, Melissa Jordan, Delaney Harbuck, Seth Jordan, Caitlin Jordan, Corban Jordan, Megan Reed, Kristine Rhome, James Carroll, Donald Ray Jordan, Jr., Robin Jordan, and Chastity Porter Yarbury; 30 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lennie Autrey of Georgetown, Louisiana.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Searen; sons, Donald Ray Jordan, Lonnie Jordan, Jr., Kenneth Lee Jordan and Glen Harrison; grandson, Shane Jordan; and the mother of his children, Mary Pate Jordan.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Jason Smith, Seth Jordan, Jeremy Jordan, Butch Grambow and D.J. Jordan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeb Stringer, Steve Arnold and Jonathan Jordan.
