Billy Dean Harvill

Funeral services for Billy Dean Harvill, 80, of Huntington will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Greg Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery.

Mr. Harvill was born August 27, 1930 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Rella (Grimes) and William S. Harvill, and died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his residence. He had resided in Huntington for 46 years. Mr. Harvill served in the U.S. Army and retired from Champion International following 36 years of service. He was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Hannah Harvill of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Reid Diegel of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Trish Harvill of Huntington; grandson, Cody Harvill of Huntington; granddaughters, Dori Diegel of Houston and Micah Harvill of Huntington; and brother and sister-in-law, Major Lou and Jane Harvill of Lufkin.

Pallbearers will be Andy Spivey, Larry Arnold, Bob Cramer, Elmer Sanders, Tessy Terry and Jimmy Loftin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Spivey, Billy Page, Mac Hill and Sonny Lewis.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
