Gerald Vanschoubroek

Funeral services for Gerald VanSchoubroek, 47, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. at Harmony Hill Baptist Church with Dr. John W. Greene and Elder Bobby Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Gerald was born October 19, 1963, in Lufkin, Texas to Melva (Bailey) and Curtis Gerald VanSchoubroek, Sr., and died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at his residence.

Gerald graduated from Lufkin High School and Texas A&M University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He was a devoted father and son, an avid outdoorsman, and a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.

Family members include his sons, Casey VanSchoubroek and Cody VanSchoubroek, both of Nacogdoches; mother, Melva VanSchoubroek of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jason and Angela VanSchoubroek and Kenneth and Debra Spears, all of Lufkin; niece, Morgan VanSchoubroek of Lufkin; nephew, Hunter VanSchoubroek of Lufkin; special friend, Jennifer Davis of Lufkin; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Gerald VanSchoubroek, Sr., January 27, 2011.

Pallbearers will be Randall Taylor, Roy Carroway, Jr., Cliff Roberts, Wayne Waggonner, Clyde Herrington and Randy Montes.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
