Oren W. Justice

Visitation for Oren W. Justice, Jr., 82, of Lufkin will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Military graveside services will be held at Oswego Cemetery in Oswego, Kansas at a later date.

Mr. Justice was born June 24, 1928 in Billings, Missouri to the late Lela and Oren W. Justice, Sr., and died Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at his residence. He had resided in Lufkin for 25 years.

Mr. Justice retired from the U.S. Army, with tours of duty in Korea and Vietnam. He was an instructor at West Point Academy for two years. He was a wood craftsman, and loved to be with his grandchildren. Mr. Justice was a devoted Christian and veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, LaVonne Justice of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Ronny and Brenda Justice of Lufkin; grandson and wife, Chris and Sara Justice of San Diego, California; granddaughter and husband, Dawn and Michael Andrews of Cameron, Texas; great-granddaughters, Hailey Justice of San Diego, California and Ally Andrews of Cameron, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
