Mass of Christian Burial for Luis Santoyo, 52, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Joe Kannampuzah officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Treviño officiating.
Mr. Santoyo was born February 16, 1959 in Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Guadalupe (Roldan) and Elias Santoyo, and died Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Cardiovascular Stroke Center. A former resident of California, he had resided in Lufkin for 17 years. Mr. Santoyo was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Survivors include his companion, Beatriz Roldan of Lufkin; daughter, Nancy Vigil of Lufkin; sons, Armando Santoyo and Anthony Luis Santoyo, both of Orange County, California; grandchildren, Bryanna P. Soto, Ivan J. Guerrero, both of Lufkin, Alina Alicia Santoyo, Armando Santoyo, Jr. and Mia Angeline Santoyo, all of Orange County, California; brothers, Ramino Santoyo of Houston, Maurilio Santoyo of Lufkin, Cresencio Santoyo, Lorenzo Santoyo, both of Mexico and Santos Santoyo of California; sisters, Anita Flores of Cleveland and Estela Santoyo of Mexico; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Armando Santoyo, Santos Santoyo, Ramiro Santoyo, Maurilio Santoyo, Lorenzo Santoyo and Cresencio Santoyo.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
