Bonnie Jo Garrison Fails

Funeral services for Bonnie Jo Garrison Fails, 73, of Groveton will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Oaklawn Baptist Church in Groveton with Reverend Lester McAdams and Reverend Lewis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery.

Mrs. Fails was born January 8, 1938 in Trinity County, Texas to the late Bessie (Dow) Garrison and Charles M. Garrison, and passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Shenandoah, Texas.

Mrs. Fails was a lifetime resident of Groveton. She was a longtime member of Oaklawn Baptist Church where she faithfully served as music director and Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gerald Fails of Groveton; daughter, Lisa Parker, her husband Scott Parker and their daughter Eloree Grace Parker of Kerrville; son, Mark Fails, his wife Kelli Fails and their sons Luke Fails and Matthew Fails of Groveton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fails was preceded in death by her grandson, Garrison Scott Parker.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Oaklawn Baptist Church.
