Gary Ritnour

Funeral services for Gary ""Rip"" Ritnour, 53, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Jackson Colwell officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Mr. Ritnour was born September 4, 1957 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Sarah ""Marie"" (Warr) and Herman ""Pete"" Ritnour, and died Saturday, May 28, 2011 in a Houston hospital.

Mr. Ritnour was a lifetime resident of the East Texas area, and had resided in Huntington since 1984. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and retired from Lufkin Industries following 26 years of service. Mr. Ritnour was an avid motorcyclist and rode a Harley Davidson Street Glide. He was a member of Gypsy MC International - Lufkin Chapter. Mr. Ritnour was a member of the Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Ritnour of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Holly and Joshua Glover and Sarah and Cody Spears, all of Lufkin; son, Morgan Ritnour and girlfriend Megan Frazier of Lufkin; grandchildren, Ethan Glover and Sophie Glover, both of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janis and Chick Harris of Huntington and Tonja and Johnny Gladden of Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Stan and Deanna Finn of Van; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Ritnour was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Finn; and grandparents, Simion ""Tommy"" and Almedia Ritnour and Hooker and Nell Warr.

Pallbearers will be Larry Moore, Ray Mack Mathews, Michael Rowland, David Pirtle, James Covington and James McIntire.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Gypsy MC International - Lufkin Chapter.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
