Funeral services for Delbert ""Buzz"" Perritte, 80, of Etoile will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Shirley Creek Mission Church with Brother Bo Baker officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Gravel Ridge Cemetery in Nacogdoches.

Mr. Perritte was born March 28, 1931 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Cora (Maurice) and Clifford Perritte, and died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital. He had resided in Etoile most of his life and retired from the U.S. Army following 20 years of service. Mr. Perritte was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a friend to all who knew him. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Langston and Bonnie Perritte of Lufkin; sister, Lucille Baker of Bossier City, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Flo Perritte of Lawton, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Perritte was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford Wayne Perritte.

Pallbearers will be servicemen from the U.S. Army.

Honorary pallbearers will be Neva Brown, Cynthia Tayloe, Marsha Reed, Dianne Crager, Debbie Rush, Dara Fisk, Courtney Goodman and all his fishing and hunting friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shirley Creek Mission Church, P.O. Box 133, Etoile, Texas 75944 or to a hospice of your choice.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon at the Shirley Creek Mission Church.
