Allibly Anderson Cotie

Funeral services for Allibly ""Bly"" Anderson Cotie, 88, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Mrs. Cotie was born September 22, 1922 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Tennie Bell (Smith) and William F. Anderson, and died Monday, June 6, 2011 in a local nursing home. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1940 and attended Pineywoods Business College. Mrs. Cotie retired from U.S. Life Title Company following 35 years as a Title Closing Officer. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Frank Danna of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, William B. ""Bill"" and Dianne Cotie, Michael David Cotie, all of Lufkin and Phillip and Barbara Cotie of Hudson; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Billie Griggs and Barbara Pate, both of Hudson; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cotie was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. Cotie.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
