Michael Doyle Bubba Thompson

Funeral services for Michael Doyle ""Bubba"" Thompson, 21, of Huntington will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother R.G. ""Bud"" Davis and Brother Karl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Bubba was born July 6, 1989 in Nacogdoches, Texas, and died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his residence.

Bubba was a lifetime resident of Huntington and Lufkin. He graduated from Huntington Pride in 2007 and attended Angelina College. Bubba had a huge heart and was willing to help and lend a hand to anyone. He had great love and compassion for his family and friends. Bubba was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Michael A. and Stacey L. Thompson of Lufkin; sister, Kimberly Thompson of Lufkin; grandparents, Marilyn and Jimmy Lynch of Rocky Hill, Danny and Ginger Thompson of Lufkin; great-grandmother, L.V. Cook of Lufkin; niece, Jaylynn Thompson of Lufkin; aunts and uncles, Brittiany Lynch and Melvin Hale of Huntington, Sandy and Wayne Cook of Wells, Joyce R. McDaniel of Lufkin, Tommy Thompson of Lufkin and Jennifer and Abb Grumbles of Pollok; cousins, Kelly Russell of Pollok, Donna Mathis, Jerry Cook, both of Lufkin, Savannah Grumbles of Pollok, Catelynn Thompson of Lufkin, Kayleigh Hale and Chandler Wheeler, both of Huntington; and special lifelong friend, Johnny Fagg of Huntington.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sammy Doyle Attaway; and great-grandparents, Salty Cook and Chester and Dorothy Attaway.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Russell, Koty Russell, Kolby Russell, Tommy Thompson, Abb Grumbles and Rodney McDaniel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Royce Williams, Johnny Fagg, Jerry Cook and Kurt Mathis.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
