Jacob Clayton Runnels

Funeral services for Jacob Clayton Runnels, 6 years old, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Southside Baptist Church in Lufkin with Pastor Jeff Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Jacob was born March 27, 2005 in Lufkin, Texas; and he passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.
Jacob attended Southside Baptist Church, and had lived in Lufkin all his life.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Davelyn Runnels of Lufkin; sister, Jordan Runnels of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Luke Whittlesey of Pearland; grandparents, David and Barbara Kirkland of Lufkin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jacob was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Jessie Mae Runnels.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Fenley, Chase Sims, Joe Carriere and John Mahan.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Glass; his nurse, Dena Tristan; the therapists through ECI; and the Hudson I.S.D.
Memorials may be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1615 Tulane Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75901.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Southside Baptist Church.
