Linda Alexander Reynolds

Funeral services for Linda Alexander Reynolds, 74, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Huntington United Methodist Church with Reverend Martin B. Doran officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Oddfellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Reynolds was born April 2, 1937, in Huntington, Texas, to the late Berniece Creola (Shofner) and Calvin Earl Alexander. She died Monday, July 4, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Reynolds had resided in Huntington all her life. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Royce Read for 30 years and then Dr. Sharon Moore for more than 9 years. She was a devoted mother and friend to many. Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Huntington United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Kim and Gwen Reynolds, and Rob Reynolds, all of Huntington; grandson, Forrest Reynolds of Huntington; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Kaye Alexander of Lufkin, Anna and Jack Kirkpatrick of Carthage; as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Reynolds, her parents, and her brother, Gene Earl Alexander.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 890, Huntington, Texas 75949.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Huntington United Methodist Church.
