Funeral services for Brother Thomas D. Reynolds, 83, of Lufkin will be held Monday, July 11, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother William Lee officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Berry Cemetery.
Brother Reynolds was born January 25, 1928 in the Moffett Community, Angelina County, Texas to the late Augusta (Barley) and Jack Reynolds, and died Friday, July 8, 2011 in a local hospital.
Brother Reynolds entered the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1946. In 1947 it became the U.S. Air Force, and he served until 1949. He retired from Lufkin Industries. Brother Reynolds was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister in 1959 and served as an evangelist and preacher for 52 years. He pastored various small country churches, including Davisville, Macedonia, Apple Springs, Scrub Creek, Redtown and Wallace Chapel. He also served as associate pastor at Woodlawn and Stryker. Brother Reynolds was an accomplished carpenter and whittler.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Pat Reynolds of Georgetown; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and James McEntire of Lufkin, Roxan and John Hobbs of Richmond and Kristine and Jon Dippel of Lufkin; grandchildren, Robert Reynolds of Lufkin, Cathy Jacobs of Houston, Katie and John Barnes of San Antonio, Travis Reynolds, John and Ruth McEntire, all of Georgetown, Aaron McEntire, Robert B. McEntire, both of Lufkin, David Hobbs, Ashley Hobbs, both of Richmond, Trey Dippel, Kari Dippel, Sean Dippel and Ronnie Dippel, all of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Caul Reynolds of Diboll, Caleb Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, both of Huntington, Anthony Jacobs, Sarah Jacobs, both of Pollok, Jay McEntire of Georgetown and Austin McEntire of Alton, Illinois; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and James ""Tootie"" Fowler of Huntington and Jo Ann Cole of Steele, Alabama; sister-in-law, Mary Reynolds of Diboll; uncle and aunts, Truett ""Skeet"" and Betty Barley of Huntington, Margie Barley of Nacogdoches and Evelyn Barley of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Brother Reynolds was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Massingill Reynolds; son, Ronnie Reynolds; grandson, Allen McEntire; and brother, E.D. ""Tinker"" Reynolds.
Pallbearers will be Dr. John McEntire, Travis Reynolds, Aaron McEntire, Robert B. McEntire, David Hobbs and Trey Dippel.
Honorary pallbearers will be Caul Reynolds, Anthony Jacobs and Chris Jacobs.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
