Lottie Jo Bobbitt

Funeral services for Lottie Jo Bobbitt, 75, of Diboll will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Ms. Bobbitt was born April 10, 1936 in Wells, Texas to the late Clara (Bailey) and John Duran Bobbitt, and died Thursday, July 21, 2011 in a local hospital.

Ms. Bobbitt resided in Diboll most of her life. She was a member of the Ryan Chapel United Methodist Church. Ms. Bobbitt served as Church Secretary for two years, was on the Board of Directors of the Eastern District for two years, and was the President of the Ryan Chapel United Methodist Women?s Association.

Survivors include her sisters and brother-in-law, Margie Keener of Diboll, Ona Faye and Doyle Rice of Pasadena and Billie Ray Rice of Diboll; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Janet Bobbitt of Katy; nephews, Tony Rice and wife Jo Ann of Huntington and Bobby Rice and wife Angie of Deer Park; nieces, Debbie Rice and Mary Beth Nance and husband Larry, all of Pasadena; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be B.J. Gonzales, Dwayne Jordan, Ronnie Cook, Daniel Hagan, Anthony Rice and Harvey Joe Glass.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
