Funeral services for Charles F. Alders, 75, of Lufkin will be held Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alex Montilla officiating. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.
Mr. Alders was born January 11, 1936 in the Camp Worth Community, San Augustine County, Texas to the late Vertie (Goodman) and Hollis Alders, and died Friday, July 22, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Alders resided in Lufkin most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Mr. Alders retired from Texas Foundries following 20 years of service, and was the General Manager at Demco Manufacturing for 35 years. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Alders of Lufkin; sons, Keith Alders and Kent Alders, both of Lufkin; granddaughter, Kelsie Alders of Hudson; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and James Denman of Lufkin; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Alders was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Sowell.
Pallbearers will be employees of Demco Manufacturing.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
