Elaine F. Skidmore

Memorial services for Elaine Skidmore, 70, of Hudson, will be held Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Leslie Wilkinson officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Skidmore was born September 22, 1940 in Lumberport, West Virginia to the late Edna (Bowman) and Paul Quinn. She died Thursday, July 28, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.
Mrs. Skidmore had lived in Hudson for the past four years and was a former longtime resident of DeRidder, Louisiana. She was the former co-owner of Kwik Stop. Mrs. Skidmore loved to fish and crochet. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Frank Krise of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Linda Skidmore of Beaumont, David Skidmore and Scott Sommerville of York, Pennsylvania, and John and Katie Skidmore of Spring; grandchildren, Tim Skidmore, Aaron Krise, Sadie Gordon, T.J. Gordon, Reilly Skidmore, and Maggie Skidmore; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Dale Carr of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. ""Ed"" Skidmore; her parents; and her brother, Keith Quinn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Skidmore, David Skidmore, John Skidmore, Tim Skidmore, Frank Krise, Aaron Krise and T.J. Gordon.
