Funeral services for Darrell Ray ""Night Crawler"" Wade, 53, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Gray and Reverend Carlos Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Darrell was born September 20, 1957 in Nacogdoches, Texas to LaVerne (Miley) and Willie Wade, and died Monday, August 8, 2011 in a local hospital. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and was employed with Delwin Burgess Logging Co. for 15 years. Darrell loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of the Thomas Crossing United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Debra Wade of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie M. and Christopher Dorsett of Diboll; parents, LaVerne and Willie Wade of Diboll; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Melanie Wade of Huntington and Bruce and Kathy Wade of Diboll; grandmother, Callie Wade of Nacogdoches; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Darrell was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Brandon Wade; grandfather, Ennis Wade; and grandmother, Martha Davis.
Pallbearers will be Preston Williford, James Edward Renfro, Junior Harvey, Ronnie Smith, George Parr and Cody Suggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Graham, Justin Wade, Roy Wade, Jr., Clint Renfro, Ty Hill and Davey Hill.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
