Vivian Ophelia Whitehead Burnaman

December 3, 1918 — August 17, 2011

Funeral services for Vivian Ophelia Whitehead Burnaman will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Etoile with Reverend Jerry Burnaman and Reverend Thomas Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Burnaman was born December 3, 1918 in Etoile, Texas to the late Rosa (Barnett) and Arthur Whitehead, and went home to Glory Wednesday, August 17, 2011, after 92 years this side of Heaven.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Burnaman had resided in Waxahachie, Texas for three years. She was a previous 30 year resident of Carthage, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage.

She is survived by family who loved her: son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Burnaman of Waxahachie; daughters and sons-in-law, Eunice and Troy Morton of Longview and Maggie and Jonathan Martin of Alexandria, Louisiana; seven beloved grandchildren, Stephen Burnaman and wife Sandra of Austin, Terri Hathcock and husband Roy of New Caney, Heather Stewart and husband Kelly of Frisco, Joshua Morton and wife Jan of Carbondale, Colorado, Meredith Morton of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, Natalie Monroe and husband Darryl of Alexandria, Louisiana, and Amanda Vincent and husband Benn of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; 12 great-grandchildren who complete her legacy of love, Caleb and Hannah Hathcock, Christian, Carson and Cooper Stewart, Ryan, Raegan, Parker and Pierson Monroe, Noah and William Vincent, and Seth Burnaman; and sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Pete Sargent of Lufkin.

Pallbearers will be Roy Hathcock, Caleb Hathcock, Kelly Stewart, Joshua Morton, Darryl Monroe and Benn Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Doulos Discovery School (reference Meredith Morton in memory of grandmother Vivian Burnaman), P.O. Box 3080, Burnsville, Minnesota 55337.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, prior to the service at Macedonia Baptist Church.
