Darrell Lynn Bud Sallas

Funeral services for Darrell Lynn ""Bud"" Sallas II, 32, of Huntington will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Bill Bailey and Brother Vic Bass officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park Sunset Mausoleum.

Bud was born July 30, 1979 in Lufkin, Texas to Debra (Cook) and Darrell Lynn Sallas I, and died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at his residence. He resided in Huntington most of his life. He worked construction and in the logging industry. He attended the New Hope Baptist Church. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheelers, anything outdoors. He was always surrounded by friends and loved ones.

Survivors include his daughters, Morgan Sallas, Lesley Sallas, Sarah Sallas, all of Hudson, and Gracelynn ""Toot Toot"" Sallas of Huntington; mother and stepfather, Debbie and Barry Robinson of Diboll; grandfather, Ben Sallas of Huntington; sister, Sabrina Fisher and husband Jimmy of Diboll; stepsisters, Jennifer Robinson of Lufkin, Jeanie Thornhill and husband Dale of Beaumont, and Sarah Robinson of San Marcos; niece, Jessica Pouland and husband Brandal; nephews, Jeff Fisher and wife Amanda, Dustin Fisher and Brayden Fisher; great-niece, Addison Pouland; and great-nephews, Ryan Fisher, Brody Fisher and Briar Manley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell ""Dookie"" Sallas I; grandmothers, Lee Taylor Cook and Maudie Pearl Sallas; uncle, Larry Cook; and special friend, Micheal Evett.

Pallbearers will be Chris Reily, Rocky Smith, Jason Perkins, Mark Carroll, Mike Haley and Carey Hawkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Smith, Joe Conway, Malcom Arnold, Tommy Patrick and Jason Whittemore.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
