Michael Oliver Heagy

Graveside services for Michael Oliver Heagy, 72, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Reverend Alex Montilla officiating.

Mr. Heagy was born December 5, 1938 in Liberty, Texas to Ivy (Webb) and Edwin Marshall Heagy, and died Sunday, September 4, 2011 in a local hospital. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and graduated from Lufkin High School. Mr. Heagy served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in the retail industry.

Survivors include his daughters, Marcelle Heagy of Chicago and Michelle Heagy of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Kyle Heagy Rotolo of Chicago, Illinois, Ivy Claire and Daniel Marshall Lopez, both of Fort Worth; brother, Dennis Heagy of Lufkin; nieces, Rhonda Palmer, Kimberly Leoni, Zana Furstenfeld and Courtney Heagy; and the mother of Marcelle and Michelle, Wyrta Heagy of Chicago, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roddy Williams, Homer Denby, Glenn Wallace, Joe Johnson, Duane Stephens and Mike Weaver.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
