Funeral services for William Gray ""Bill"" Taylor, 70, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Dr. Andy Pittman officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
Bill was born July 15, 1941 in Lufkin, Texas to Robert L. ""Bob"" and Lola (Powell) Taylor, and died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in Corrigan. He was a retired painter and lived most of his life in Angelina County. Bill was a member of Lufkin's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Steven Monroe Taylor and wife Stacy of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandsons, Cory Taylor and wife Nikki, Colby and Blake Taylor, all of Yukon, Oklahoma; mother, Lola (Powell) Taylor of Lufkin; brothers, Robert Lindsay ""Butch"" Taylor and wife Mary Jo and Joseph Kent ""Joe"" Taylor and wife Janet, all of Lufkin; uncle, George Taylor; aunts, Lois Taylor, Mary Nell Taylor and Marguerite Johnson; three nephews; one niece; and a number of cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his son, William Charles Taylor, July 30, 2008; father, Robert L. ""Bob"" Taylor, December 28, 2003; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
