Barbara Griffith

Graveside services for Barbara Jean (Day) Griffith, 67, of Huntington will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jonesville Cemetery with Brother William Wooten officiating.

Mrs. Griffith was born August 31, 1943 in Orange, Texas to the late Mae (Havard) and Luther Oscar Day, and died Friday, June 24, 2011 in a local hospital. She had resided in Huntington for 48 years and worked at Parkwood Place Nursing Home. Mrs. Griffith was a member of the Huntington Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Diana Griffith, Bill Griffith and Jeffery Griffith, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Crystal (Griffith) Miley of Huntington, Blake Griffith of Hudson and Dane Griffith of Diboll; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris Neiman, Joyce and Arlon Kervin, all of Orange and Millie Day of Huntington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Francis Day of Pasadena, Raymond and Lou Day of Dickinson and Harold Day of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her brothers, Aaron, R.B., Robert and Hubert Day.

Pallbearers will be Dwayne Day, David Day, Rodney Turner, Eric Turner, Vince Kervin and Steve Kervin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Collier, Doug Day and Dale Day.
