Graveside services for Henry M. ?Hank? Perkins, 68, of Huntington will be held Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carmona Cemetery in Corrigan with Brother Chris Turner officiating.
Mr. Perkins was born September 26, 1942 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Hazel (Folkes) and J.B. Perkins, and died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at his residence. He had resided in Huntington for 25 years. Mr. Perkins served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Sue Perkins of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Kim Loving of Corrigan; daughters, Patti Miles of Dayton, Heather and Amanda; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Larry Lambright of Dayton, Sandra and C.B. Brownell of Lufkin and Pat Carter of Livingston; brothers and sister-in-law, Gerald and Nancy Perkins and Larry Dale Perkins, all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Ray Perkins.
Pallbearers will be Preston Loving, Tyler Miles, Henry Chase Loving, Logan Loving, Mark Page and Rick Gee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Allen and Tank Tanksley.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at the funeral home in Huntington.
