Rebecca Mott

Funeral services for Rebecca A. Mott, 63, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Dr. Darryl R. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Mrs. Mott was born July 9, 1948 in Houston, Texas to the late Louisa (Zunica) and Vincent Arredondo. She died Sunday, December 25, 2011 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mrs. Mott was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had been a member of Huntington First Baptist Church for 40 years, and loved her church and Sunday school class. Mrs. Mott had lived in Huntington most of her life.

Survivors include her husband, Freddie Mott of Huntington; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie Shurley, Angela and Stan Markus, all of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Amanda Mott of Hudson; grandchildren, Hanna and Haley Shurley, Andrew and Madelyn Markus, Lauren and Isabella Mott; sisters and brother-in-law, Guadalupe and Daniel Valdevia, Jane DeLaCruz, all of Houston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Noel T. and Joanne Mott of Canyon Lake; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Mott was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Annie Reyes.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
