Funeral services for Willie ""Perry"" Walker, 59, of Huntington will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Pastor Horace Moultrie officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Community Cemetery.
Mr. Walker was born January 1, 1953 in Rosebud, Texas to Lester and Willie Lee (Brown) Walker, and died Sunday, February 5, 2012 in a local hospital. A former resident of Amarillo, he had resided in Huntington for 10 years. Mr. Walker served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam era and was employed with the Lufkin Industries Trailer Division.
Survivors include his son, Willie Perry ""J.J."" Walker, Jr. of Amarillo; daughter, Rosalind Price of Huntington; mother, Willie Lee Brown of Huntington; companion, Ruth Price of Huntington; brothers, Jessie Walker, Dennis McCullough, both of Huntington, and Timothy McCullough of Dallas; sisters, Brenda McCullough of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Gloria McCullough of Dallas; grandmother, Lela Mae Foster of Waco; aunts, Velma Brown of Huntington, Barbara Williams of Lufkin and Patricia Collier of Arlington; nephews, Jessie W. Walker, Jr. of Amarillo and Logan Andrew Walker of Huntington; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
