Zenobia Thornhill

Funeral services for Zenobia M. Thornhill, 91, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Neil Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Thornhill was born July 8, 1920 in Huntington, Texas to the late Rob and Elma (Taylor) Fancher, and died Sunday, February 19, 2012 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Huntington and a member of the Huntington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David and Linda Thornhill of Huntington; son, Don Thornhill of Leggett; stepson and daughter-in-law, Herb and Belinda Vanglhan of Lufkin; grandson, Kevin Thornhill of Huntington; granddaughter, Leslye Coulter of Etoile; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thornhill was preceded in death by her husband, David Aubrey Thornhill; grandson, Shannon Dale Thornhill; sisters, Vera McGaughey and Velma Nash; and brother, Beauford E. Fancher.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lenin Pinnamaneni, Huntington Healthcare staff, Hospice in the Pines, Carroway Funeral Home and Woodland Heights Hospital for the care they gave to Zenobia during her illness; and also want to thank all our friends, family and churches for the many prayers they gave.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
