Joseph Waller

Funeral services for Joseph Clyde Waller, Jr., 83, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Danny Dow, Charles Robinson and Luther Bolenbarker officiating. Military graveside services will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Mr. Waller was born October 25, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Addie Ruth (Knapp) and Joseph Clyde Waller, Sr. He died Sunday, February 26, 2012 in a Lufkin nursing facility.

Mr. Waller served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1977, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was then employed with Lufkin Industries for eleven years as a Purchasing Agent. Mr. Waller attended Huntington Church of Christ and had resided in Huntington for the past 35 years.

Survivors include his wife, Claudia Waller of Huntington; daughter, Kila Smith and fiancé Alan Smith of Seven Oaks; daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Ben Hodges of Orange; grandchildren, Kyle Bryan, Jacob Bryan, Brittany Bryan, all of Huntington, Hunter Hodges and Hannah Hodges, both of Orange; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Bryan of Brownwood and Stormy Bryan of Huntington; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Kitty and Tony Sawon, and Amy Thompson, all of Spring; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Addie and Joseph Waller, Sr.

Pallbearers will be members of the Marine Corps League #1362.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Bryan, Jacob Bryan, Hunter Hodges, Ben Hodges, David Young, Les Young and Tony Sawon.
