Harold Jones

Funeral services for Harold L. Jones, Jr., 60, of Huntington will be held Friday, May 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Huntington First Baptist Church with Brother Jerry Jones and Chaplain Quincy Martindale officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Oddfellows Cemetery.

Mr. Jones was born December 26, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas to Ora Nell (DeWoody) and Harold L. Jones, Sr., and died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his residence. He resided in Huntington most of his life. Mr. Jones enjoyed fishing, training and working with horses. He was a member of Huntington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Trey Jones and special friend Sierra Nagy of Huntington; daughter, Lacey Jones of Montgomery; mother, Ora Nell Jones of Huntington; sisters, Barbara Stubblefield of Huntington and Beverly Schlein and husband Stephen of Houston; special friends, Jerry Hardy, Nelda Marshall and Ricky Nerren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold L. Jones, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Pat Stubblefield.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hardy, Kelly Jones, Rudy Jones, Joey Horton, Dana DeWoody and Ricky Nerren.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Taylor, David Horton, Randy DeWoody and Robert DeWoody.

The family extends special thanks to Affinity Hospice and nurses Margie Gandy and Patti Lowery.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
