Delma Vardeman

Funeral services for Delma Driver Vardeman, 95, of Huntington will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Charles Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Vardeman was born June 15, 1917 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Jim and Eva (Franklin) Driver, and died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in a local hospital. She resided in Huntington most of her life and was a member of the Huntington Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Bob and Trudy Vardeman of Schertz and Billy Randall Vardeman of Huntington; daughter, Ginger Lou Forrest of Huntington; grandchildren, Bobby Vardeman, Bryant Vardeman, both of San Antonio, Gina Linstrom of Huntington, Matthew Morris of Homestead, Florida, Tracey Bartlett of Huntington, Beverly Whitmer, Bethany Ciaravino, both of San Antonio, and Tina Grubaugh of Omaha, Nebraska; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Reed of Kingwood; and special friend, Claudia Waller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Vardeman; grandson, Jimmy Morris; and brothers, J.C. Driver and Rollie Driver.

Pallbearers will be Louie Short, Tommy Gordon, Robert Lindsey, Ernest Boyett and Ken Marshall.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of Huntington Church of Christ.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the services.
