Dale Carson

Funeral services for Dale Carson, Jr., 57, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend Ron Fant officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mr. Carson was born August 16, 1955 in Midland, Texas to the late Shirley Faye (Cryer) and Willie D. Carson, Sr., and died Monday, November 5, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Zavalla and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Carson was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his uncles and aunts, George, Sr. and Mary Cryer of Zavalla, Ray Nell and Steve Sansom of Gilmer, Calvin M., Jr. and Gina Cryer of Wildwood and Cindy Carson of Houston; special friends, Glentis Marshall of Zavalla and Phyllis Massad of Corpus Christi; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jude and Mable Carson and C.M. and Willie Mae Cryer.

Pallbearers will be George Cryer, Jr., Craig Cryer, Floyd Peters, Calvin Cryer III, Monte Martin, Dean Laviness and Ray Davis.
