Reba Ramsey

Memorial services for Reba Ann Fields Ramsey, 61, of Huntington will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Ted Ivy officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ramsey was born February 2, 1951 in Vivian, Louisiana to the late Jewel F. (Keene) and Marvin C. Fields. She died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved cooking, gardening and gambling, and attended the First Ora Missionary Baptist Church. Formerly a resident of Channelview, Mrs. Ramsey had lived in Huntington for the past 15 years.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Tyson Ellis of Huntington; grandchildren, JayEdward Curtis Ellis, John Neal Ellis and Lila Ann Ellis, all of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Rob Roy of Blanchard, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Mel Fields of Blanchard, Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Connie Fields and Sherri Fields; and numerous other family members and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roscoe Edward Ramsey; and brothers and sister, Billy Joe Fields, James Wylie Fields, Edward Curtis Fields, Neva Joyce, and Lawrence T. ""Butch"" Fields.
