W.F. Maddox

Funeral services for W.F. Maddox, 73, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Maddox was born August 20, 1943 in Freeport, Texas to the late Lois Faye (Thompson) and Macon Henry Maddox, and died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in a local hospice facility.

Mr. Maddox had resided in Lufkin most of his life, and retired from Southern Pacific Railroad following 29 years as a conductor. He loved his children and great-grandchildren. Mr. Maddox was a mason for 50 years and a member of the Arlington Masonic Lodge #438 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Brenda Maddox of Lufkin; sons, Mark Maddox and wife Lacy of Pollok, John Maddox and fiancée Allison Runnels, Shawn Kaemmerling and fiancée Glenna Frankens, and Macon Maddox and wife Amber, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Kalyn Kaemmerling and fiancé Jerrett Harris, Jordan Maddox Nutt and husband Tyler, Savannah Allen and husband J.C., Courtney Maddox and fiancé Dakota Linton, Hunter Kaemmerling, Payton Maddox, Macay Maddox, Reece Maddox, and Presley Maddox; great-grandchildren, Chauncy Allen, Leah Allen, and Jett Harris; sisters, Lois Trevathan and husband Joe and Henrietta Dicks and husband Bill, all of Nacogdoches; and a number of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Kaemmerling, Macay Maddox, Reese Maddox, and members of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
