Connie Michelle Edwards

Connie Michele Edwards, 51, of Lufkin died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in a local hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ms. Edwards was born November 10, 1970 in Gregg County, Texas. She enjoyed fishing, spending time at the lake, swimming, and collecting dreamcatchers. She always looked forward to sitting out her manger scene at Christmas. Ms. Edwards favorite thing was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Amanda Shiflet of Hudson; daughters and sons-in-law, Yachtolee Shiflet and Matt Burton, Kristy and Caleb Durbin, and Judy Shiflet, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Mackenzie Sessions, Bryan Sessions, Raymond Matthew Burton, Tyler Shiflet, Odin Durbin, and Wyatt Burton; sisters, Darlene Middleton of Tennessee, Candi Marie Helmer, and Becca Havard; father of her children, Jerry Lynn Shiflet of Lufkin; aunt, Caroline Willinghamstill of California, and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Elaine Edwards; stepfather, F.J. Havard; brother, Bubba Havard; grandmother, Winnie Frances Hansen.
