Brody Michael Shumaker

Funeral services for Brody Michael Shumaker, 22, of Pollok will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Karen Shumaker and Brother Wesley Matchett officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Brody was born April 2, 2002 in Nacogdoches, Texas, and passed away Friday, January 17, 2025 doing what he loved in one of his favorite places.

Brody graduated from Central High School in 2020. He was employed by Brookshire Brother’s Maintenance.

Brody had a love for the outdoors that began at an early age with his parents and grandparents. He was passionate about fishing and hunting. He spent many hours and days developing and fostering his love for hunting at “The Farm.”

Brody was the best Guncle to Conlie Kate, a role that he adored. He would spend Sunday dinners feeding fish and rocking babies with Conlie.

Brody had a huge heart and his bubbly personality was second to none. His charming grin, laughter and joy were contagious and would light up any room. He blessed all he had the privilege to meet with his presence.

Brody was a member of First Baptist Church Wells. Not only did he love the Lord, he loved and cherished his family.

He is survived by his parents, Jason and Janie (Glover) Shumaker; sister, brother-in-law and niece, Hannah, Colton and Conlie McQuilkin; girlfriend of 5 years, Paige and her parents, Stan and Christina Laviolette; grandparents, Mike and Mary Shumaker and Darryl and Ronda Glover; aunts and uncles, Robin and Tracey Vann, Melissa and Roger Redd, Jana and Kurt Seeton, and Michelle Shumaker; and numerous cousins, friends and many people that loved him.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Allen, Tanner Glover, Dylan Cloonan, Macay Maddox, Colby Lamon, Bryce Case, Ben Shelfo, and Morgan Hubbard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron “Shug” Taylor, Ethan Sprinkle, Aaron Sprinkle, Brett Grogan, and Carson Hopper.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
