Graveside services for Marie Burnaman Ables, 89, of Etoile will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating.
Mrs. Ables was born March 26, 1926 in Etoile to the late E.H. and Alma (Layton) Burnaman and died Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Huntington Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Ables resided in Etoile all of her life. She was a homemaker who loved to RV, travel, fish, crochet, quilt, and listen to bluegrass music. Most of all she loved being with her family. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Etoile.
Survivors include her husband, Chester C. Ables of Huntington; daughter, Elaine Ables Johnson and husband Theodore of Silsbee; daughter, Sharon Ables Alston of Kountze; son, Chester Lynn Ables and wife Frances of Onalaska; grandchildren, Bec Wilson, Noel Lewis and Elizabeth, Whitney Crawford and husband Robbie, and Ansley Odstrcil; great-grandchildren, Camden Odstrcil and Cassidy Odstrcil; sister, Wilma Sanders and husband Hurley of Etoile; also numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
