Billy M. Brown, Sr.

Funeral services for Billy M. Brown, Sr., 86, of Colmesneil will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam R. Durr and Reverend Cindy Doran officiating. Interment will follow in the Narrow Way Cemetery. Mr. Brown was born June 12, 1930 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Wilma Maurice (Coker) and Earl Thomas Brown, and died Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Nacogdoches. Mr. Brown had resided in Colmesneil since 1976, where he was a General Contractor. He was an avid hunter and Dallas Cowboy fan. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Joiner of Houston, Debbie Rush and husband Mike of Carrollton, and Robbie Brown of Nacogdoches; son, Bill Brown and wife Sharon of Diboll; brother, Joe Brown and wife Carolyn of Willis; sisters, Jeanie Lucas of Highlands and Patsy Gibbs of Mt. Calm; grandchildren, Heather Joiner of Durango, Colorado, Lance Joiner and wife Morgan of League City, Trey Brown and wife Rachel of Diboll, Matt Rush and wife Justine of Carrollton, Steven Brown and wife Shelby of Diboll, and Cody Swink of Nacogdoches; great-grandchildren, Kynlee Brown of Diboll, Wyatt Joiner and Abbott Joiner, both of League City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, H. A. Brown; and sister, Mary Bell Brown. Pallbearers will be Lance Joiner, Trey Brown, Matt Rush, Steven Brown, Cody Swink, and Mike Rush. Honorary pallbearer will be Heather Joiner. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
