Funeral services for Russell Wiley Julian, 43, of League City, formerly of Lufkin, will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Blackie Cranford officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Julian was born April 24, 1970 in Sugar Land, Texas to Ronald and Juray (Simpson) Julian, and passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 in a Houston hospital. He had resided in League City for 5 1/2 years. A longtime resident of Lufkin, he was a member of the Fuller Springs Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Regina Quattlebaum Julian of League City; mother, Juray Julian of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Robin and John Tucker of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Joy Quattlebaum of Huntington; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Andrea and Joe Kimbro of Humble; nephews, Clint McLeroy of Bay City, Dustin McLeroy, Weston McLeroy, Justin Tucker, all of Lufkin, Zachary Quattlebaum of Huntington, Matthew Smith of Austin and Jordan Smith of Humble; and nieces, Jennifer Brown and husband Daniel of Huntington and Jessica Greenly and husband Lucas of Lufkin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Julian; and father-in-law, Andrew Quattlebaum.
Pallbearers will be Randy Capps, Tim Farmer, Dustin McLeroy, Weston McLeroy, Clint McLeroy, Justin Tucker, Sammy Braden and Bobby Cranford.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Angelina County Firefighters Association.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1505 S. John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
