Krystal was born November 18, 1981 in Lufkin, Texas to Gerry and Debbie (Welch) Haverland, and passed away Friday, March 19, 2010 in Carthage, Texas, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Krystal was a 2000 graduate of Huntington High School and was formerly employed at The Heart Institute of East Texas. She had a natural gift in caring for people and this compassionate spirit led her to leaving the Heart Institute and enrolling in nursing school in Woodville. Krystal excelled in her classes and will be missed by her classmates and study group. Aside from her kindheartedness, Krystal will always be remembered for her contagious laugh, bright smile, and her love for music. She was a member of the Word of Life Church in Lufkin where she was a part of the praise and worship team. Krystal began singing at a very young age and her love for music and God is shared by her four year old daughter, Destiny. She was also passionate about her role as a mother and it was very obvious in the patient and loving way she nurtured her daughter.
